Caring For A Poinsettia Plant Guide

Poinsettias are a popular houseplant during the festive season. They boast bright red, pink, and even multi-toned foliage, adding a little something special to your Christmas decor. We have a few easy steps to help you keep your Poinsettia looking as beautiful as the day you got it.

Your New Poinsettia

To ensure your plant gets off to the best start, keep it in its wrapper until you get home. Take care when removing your poinsettia from its bag to avoid any leaves falling off.

Choosing The Right Spot

Put it in a position where it will get good light, but not directly at the window where it could touch the cold glass or anywhere it will get a draught. To keep the poinsettia in bloom as long as possible, maintain a temperature of 18°C-20°C during the day.

General Care

Your poinsettia should be kept slightly moist but not water logged. It is best if you can water from the bottom of the pot and then discard any excess water that the plant hasn’t soaked up.

Trees are more than just beautiful to look at. They provide important benefits for our environment and health.
