Operations Assistant
Our Operations Assistants play a vital role in maintaining The Mains of Drum’s beautiful surroundings and ensuring smooth daily operations. With a hands-on approach and a keen eye for detail, they support the team with general groundskeeping, assisting deliveries, and keeping our outdoor areas well-presented. Full-time/Part-time available.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out groundskeeping duties, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, and general outdoor maintenance.
- Using power tools such as leaf blowers, strimmers, and pressure washers to keep the centre clean and tidy.
- Assisting the delivery driver with unloading and distributing stock around the site.
- Ensuring outdoor areas are safe, well-maintained, and visually appealing for customers.
- Working as part of a dedicated team to uphold the highest standards across the Garden Centre.
Who We Are Looking For
- Comfortable using power tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy objects as part of daily tasks.
- Reliable, hard-working, and happy to work in all weather conditions.
- A team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

We are a family-owned and run Garden Centre with a passion for building community, set in beautifully landscaped grounds on the A93 between Peterculter and Banchory, just beside the village of Drumoak. Since opening in 2009, we have become a superior shopping destination on Royal Deeside for beautiful plants and all things for the garden.
