Mint Chocolate Mousse

Whether it is a treat for Santa or for you, this festive Candy Cane Chocolate Mousse is perfect for indulging in a little festive spirit! Makes 4 servings.

Ingredients

  • Large Egg x 3

  • Chocolate Pieces x 1 Cup

  • Butter x 3.5 tbsp

  • Heavy Cream x Half A Cup

  • Large Mint Leaves x 5

Method

    • Separate eggs, place egg whites in a large bowl and yolks in a small bowl.

    • Melt chocolate pieces in a bowl and when melted, beat egg yolks and add chocolate into it.

    • Chop mint finely and add to the chocolate mixture.

    • Then whisk egg whites until they have doubled in size and then fold egg whites into the chocolate mixture.

    • Pour into piping bags with white star shaped nozzles and leave to chill in fridge for up to an hour.

    • Finally pipe into wine glasses and leave to set for half an hour and they are ready to serve.
