“Everyone is an artist when it comes to chairart…”
The Mains of Drum are hosting a display of Aberdeen Chairart from the 24th to 25th September 2016.
This is the third year running for Aberdeen Chairart, a deeside commmunity art project. Chairart raises funds for local charities by encouraging creativity through restoring old and “past-their-best” chairs. The event is open for anyone to join in, whether you have artistic experience or not; old and young are all welcome.
The chairs are decorated in paint and other materials to create something new and original. They are then sold at the end of season to raise money for their chosen charity that year. This year “forget-me-not” dementia group from Banchory is collecting the total funds raised.
See you in September at The Mains of Drum for the wonderful display!
